Jayarebe's triumph in the Hampton Court Stakes

Jayarebe held off a late surge from King’s Gambit to claim victory in the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot. Despite a sluggish start, King’s Gambit rallied strongly but fell short by three-quarters of a length.

Trainer Brian Meehan celebrated his second win of the week, praising jockey Sean Levey for a well-timed ride. Jayarebe, known for his strong stride, capitalised on a good break and stayed strong to the finish.

Meehan highlighted improvements in Jayarebe’s performance, noting adjustments in tactics and the horse's growing potential. Future plans may include races like the Eclipse, depending on the horse’s condition and discussions with Sean.

King’s Gambit’s trainer, Harry Charlton, acknowledged a challenging race start but praised his horse’s impressive effort, suggesting bright prospects ahead.
