Yah Mo Be There's next outing is in Newbury

Yah Mo Be There is poised for redemption in the Ire-Incentive – Pays To Buy Irish Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury.

The Mohaather colt debuted at York in May, narrowly losing out by just a head to Karl Burke’s Andesite in a competitive six-furlong novice race. The first two finishers pulled well clear of the rest, with subsequent winners Asktheboss and Loom among the trailing pack.

Yah Mo Be There's next outing at Royal Ascot in the Coventry Stakes in June was marred by bad luck. Hampered right out of the gates, he struggled to find his rhythm and finished a disappointing 18th out of 22 runners in the Group Two event.

Owner Phil Cunningham, who oversees Yah Mo Be There is training at Richard Spencer's Sefton Lodge yard, is optimistic heading into Newbury, eager to put the Royal Ascot setback behind them.

“He’s been in great form. I'm currently in New York on business and flying back tomorrow morning to head straight to Newbury. I’m excited to see him race again," Cunningham remarked.

Also in contention is Alice Haynes' Big Cyril, a son of No Nay Never who showed promise with a third-place finish on debut at Yarmouth. His subsequent victory at Ayr, where he defeated Uncle Don (who went on to win his next start), underscores his potential.

Hugo Palmer’s Dubai Bling, a Dark Angel colt with a victory at Haydock and a close second at Windsor, faces a significant step-up in class but enters the race in good form.

Leading the market are Symbol Of Honour from Godolphin and Charlie Appleby’s yard, coming off a sixth-place finish in the Coventry, and Richard Hannon’s Principality, both strong contenders in the betting.

Completing the field are Spirit Of Leros, Two Shoes, Jungle Drums, Calyxoh, and I Got Soul.
