Windtothelightning Set for Warwick Mares' Hurdle Challenge

Oliver Greenall is confident that Windtothelightning will deliver another impressive performance in the TrustATrader Warwick Mares' Hurdle this Saturday. Despite facing stiff competition from You Wear It Well, Jamie Snowden's Cheltenham Festival victor, Greenall takes solace in the fact that only four contenders will line up for the Listed race.

Having triumphed in four out of her seven races under rules, Windtothelightning is a rising star in Greenall's training partnership with Josh Guerriero. Greenall hopes this race will provide her with an opportunity to secure some valuable black type before potentially embarking on a chasing career in the next season.

Greenall expresses his astonishment at their current position, considering that Windtothelightning may not possess flashy attributes during training. Initially an affordable acquisition, she displayed a workmanlike attitude, and their expectations were modest. However, her consistent progress has exceeded their initial hopes, and Greenall is thrilled with her continued development.

Speaking about her future prospects, Greenall expressed belief that Windtothelightning has the potential to excel over three miles in due course. Despite her smaller stature, he is confident that she will adapt well to the challenges of chasing.

Joining Windtothelightning in the race are Dan Skelton's Get A Tonic and Blue Beach, trained by Mel Rowley.
