In a thrilling debut at Leopardstown, Twoohthree (7/1) showcased his talent under the tutelage of Gordon Elliott in the Colours Bar Maiden Hurdle. This Jet Away gelding, previously victorious in a Lingstown point-to-point for Sean Doyle, transitioned seamlessly to the track.
During the race, Twoohthree positioned himself skillfully behind Postileo and Rath Gaul Boy before overtaking them effortlessly as they approached the final stretch. Despite challenging weather conditions, the five-year-old maintained his lead, clearing the last jump with remarkable precision under the expert guidance of jockey Jordan Gainford.
In a display of dominance, Twoohthree surged ahead to win by an impressive 27 lengths, leaving stablemate Gold In The Rivers (12/1) trailing in his wake. Speaking after the race, Elliott expressed optimism about the gelding's future, stating,
“He's only a young horse with plenty of room for growth. We initially considered him not fully prepared for this race, but he exceeded our expectations. His stamina is remarkable, and we anticipate great things from him in the future.”
