Tiffany is set to return to Germany

Sir Mark Prescott’s Tiffany is set to return to Germany following her impressive victory at Baden-Baden, with plans to aim for glory in the 62nd Preis von Europa. Her potential path could echo that of Prescott’s Arc winner, Alpinista, who triumphed in Germany before achieving success at ParisLongchamp.

Prescott, who secured three consecutive German Group One victories with Alpinista in 2021, is now looking to Tiffany for similar achievements. Tiffany has already made a mark on the continent, having won the Group Two T.von Zastrow Stutenpreis in Germany earlier this year.

The daughter of Farhh has been in outstanding form this season, with her Baden-Baden win adding to her record of three victories and a second in the Lancashire Oaks from four starts in 2024.

Tiffany will step up to Group One level at Cologne on September 22. A strong performance there could pave the way for a subsequent major race closer to home, such as the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot on British Champions Day.

Dan Downie of Elite Racing Club, Tiffany’s owner, commented: "She’s been fantastic this year, and we were thrilled with her performance. While the Group Two at Baden-Baden might not have been the strongest, she was incredibly impressive."

"The immediate plan is for her to race at Cologne on September 22, after which we’ll consider options for Ascot. For now, our focus is on her return to Germany, where she is familiar with the tracks."

Prescott also has a notable history with the Preis von Europa, having won it with Albanova in 2004. Rebel’s Romance, another of Prescott’s successes, won the Cologne race before going on to claim the Breeders’ Cup Turf in 2022.
