The Passenger might make their way to Prix Ganay
Passenger, a former candidate for the prestigious One-time Classic, will return to France next month. The remarkable steed will reportedly compete in the much-anticipated Prix Ganay at Paris-Longchamp.
In his first race at Newmarket the year before, the horse trained by Sir Michael Stoute won the Wood Ditton, which was a tremendous upset. Unfortunately, he finished third in the Dante at York despite being well favoured, which earned him a spot in the Derby.
A great deal of improvement was possible in Passenger's performance of Epsom's premier Classic. In contrast, he won Windsor's Group Three Winter Hill Stakes to round out his third year on the track. West Wind Blows, whom he defeated, would later finish second in the Caulfield Cup. The return to the track of the talented son of Ulysses is drawing nearer by the day.
The Passenger is doing quite well right now since we are starting to warm up from the winter season. According to Alan Cooper, the racing manager of the Niarchos Family, Sir Michael entered him in the Ganay.
Another option is to compete in the Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown; however, we still have plenty of time to choose the best strategy. As March draws to a conclusion, we share everyone else's hopes for mild temperatures and a break from the rain. It has been raining heavily recently.
"His performance is impressive, so let's anticipate his advancement from his victory in Group Three. Everyone will enjoy his company this year."
The Prix Ganay will be held on April 28th. The Passenger was one of the original nineteen racers. Among the other likely British contenders are Measured Time and Military Order, two horses trained by Charlie Appleby; Lord North, who hails from the stables of John and Thady Gosden; and Dubai Honour, trained by William Haggas.
Aidan O'Brien owns a group of Irish horses—Lux, Al Riffa, Maxux, Adrian Murray's Crypto Force, and Elegant Man—but the most important one is Aidan's son Joseph's training of Al Riffa and Maxux.
