The Magnolia Stakes are won by Dubai Honour, according to Kempton Monday's analysis

Dubai Honour impressed William Haggas with a successful comeback in the Virgin Bet Every Saturday Money Back Magnolia Stakes at Kempton, securing a return trip to Hong Kong.

After his last appearance at Ascot on British Champions Day, the well-traveled six-year-old made a surprising choice. Instead of the expected journey to Australia, he opted to stay at Somerville Lodge this winter. This decision, coupled with his impressive track record and top ratings, set the stage for his triumphant return in the 10-furlong Listed event.

Despite the early stages of the season, Dubai Honour proved his mettle as the clear frontrunner. Guided by the skilled Ryan Moore, the horse delivered an exceptional performance, securing a commanding three-length lead and the trainer's fourth win in this race.

He is now preparing to compete internationally again, as Dubai Honour aims to improve on his third-place finish at the 2023 QEII Cup in Sha Tin later this month.

Haggas expressed satisfaction with the horse's performance and noted that he appeared lively due to his recent break from running. However, I believed he consistently appeared at ease in a race that could have been chaotic—and likely was—despite the pleasant pace.

I haven't had a conversation with Ryan yet, but he may not have been in the ideal position initially. However, the horse performed admirably and executed the task with finesse, as expected given the circumstances. However, I was highly pleased with him, and it exceeded all my expectations.

If everything goes as planned, he will be travelling to Hong Kong. He has received an invitation, and we have confirmed our attendance. If he remains in good health, he plans to participate in the QEII Cup on April 28th, the race over a mile and a quarter where he achieved a third-place finish last year. With over £ 3 million in prize money under his belt, this exceptional horse has not only proven his talent but has also become a beloved companion. We hold him in the highest regard and have genuinely enjoyed every moment with him. He's also a gentle and compassionate horse.
