The Brewery Eyes Greater Challenges After Second Hurdles Win
The Kemble Brewery may be ready to face tougher competition after clinching a second hurdles victory of the season at Ffos Las. Trained by Kim Bailey, the five-year-old previously impressed by winning both of his bumper races, with his only loss occurring as the favourite in a Cheltenham maiden hurdle debut last November.
After returning from a 300-day break with a solid win at Worcester, where he bested David Pipe's Jurancon (who later won comfortably at Chepstow), The Kemble Brewery doubled his hurdles tally with an assertive front-running performance in Carmarthenshire, underscoring his potential.
Bailey suggests he may soon step up in grade, though he's cautious about selecting the next race. “He’s likely to run again in three weeks, but I’m taking my time to find the right fit in the programme book,” Bailey remarked. Now rated 125 after a 2lb rise in the handicap, The Kemble Brewery shows promise, though his casual style adds a unique challenge. “He only jumps as much as he needs to,” Bailey said, “but once he finds his rhythm, his true talent will shine.”
