Take Me To Church is another favourite at Ascot

Trainer Jack Davison is preparing Take Me To Church to lead a small but promising team at Royal Ascot, with hopes of success in the Jersey Stakes.

The three-year-old impressed with victories in his first two races this season, including the Madrid Handicap at the Curragh. However, he faced tougher competition in subsequent races, finishing fourth in a Leopardstown Guineas trial and fifth in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.

Take Me To Church will now drop back to Group Three company over seven furlongs, while stablemates Scorchio and Bergamasco have their sights set on handicap targets. Scorchio will line up in the Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes after a convincing win at Cork, while Bergamasco is being aimed at the Britannia. Davison is optimistic about his team's chances, stating, "It's an exciting couple of weeks for the yard."
