Symbol Of Strength is set to compete at York

Symbol Of Strength is being targeted for the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Gimcrack Stakes at York, following the impressive performance that saw him break the juvenile track record at Ayr last week.

Trained by Adrian Keatley, the Kodiac two-year-old initially finished fifth on debut at Beverley but showed his potential with a strong run in Scotland.

Keatley noted that breaking the two-year-old track record at Ayr is a major achievement, highlighting the venue's history of top juvenile talent. He mentioned they had high hopes for the horse and that Ayr was an ideal trial, leading to their plans from York. He pointed out that the runner-up, Motawahij, couldn't match their pace, and emphasised the race's quality with the third-place horse rated 94. Keatley confirmed their next target is the Gimcrack.
