She’s Quality triumphed in Tipperary
She’s Quality made a triumphant return to Tipperary, capturing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Abergwaun Stakes.
Trained by Jack Davison, the Acclamation filly had last been seen finishing sixth in a Listed race at Deauville in early August, where Bradsell, who later won the Nunthorpe, had finished ahead of her. Before that, she was also sixth in the Group Two Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh, following a convincing win at Tipperary over five furlongs in July.
In today’s race, she took charge from the start, powering to the front under Billy Lee and maintaining control throughout. The 85-40 favourite crossed the line three lengths clear of Jakajaro, delivering a straightforward victory.
Lee commented, "She’s a filly with a lot of speed. Jack called me this morning with instructions to track something initially, but then to let her stretch out halfway through to give them a real test."
Following the win, Paddy Power has shortened She’s Quality’s odds for the Flying Five at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend to 33-1 from 50-1. Lee added, "It’s great to secure a Listed win for her, and we’re hopeful she can build on this performance. Jack mentioned the Flying Five as a potential next step, so that’s the plan for now."
