Rubies From Burma triumphs at Cork
Rubies From Burma (13/8f) delivered a commanding performance in the Follow Us On Social Media Maiden at Cork, showcasing her power under the guidance of Henry de Bromhead.
Billy Lee's mount took charge early and proved to be the strongest as the race approached its final stages. She effortlessly asserted her dominance after the two-furlong marker and extended her lead to win by six and a half lengths from Black Storm (9/1). Silent Guardian (11/4) finished a head behind in third.
Lee, who also secured a win on Rebel Diamond (2/9f) earlier in the day, commented: “She’s a well-bred filly with a strong, long stride. After riding her for the first time at Leopardstown, I expected her to improve. I wanted to let her use her stride without pushing her too hard, and decided to run or sit close to the pace. She was a bit keen early on, but her ability shone through, and she won comfortably. The trip and ground were ideal for her. Hopefully, with further improvement, she could be competing for black-type in the future.”
