Royal Hope Reach For The Moon Eyes Cheltenham Glory

Reach For The Moon representing the Royal Family at the Cheltenham Festival, owned by Her Majesty The Queen and Sir Chips Keswick, Reach For The Moon joins 63 entries in the two-mile contest, marking the Festival's start on March 12.

The five-year-old, formerly trained by John and Thady Gosden, showed potential as a Classic contender after winning the Group Three Solario Stakes at Sandown Park. However, subsequent races on the Flat resulted in six straight defeats, including a setback at the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot.

Despite not having hurdled publicly, Snowden, confident in the horse's Flat rating of 105, has entered him in the Grade One event. The late Queen and the current Royal Family's support for racing adds significance to Reach For The Moon's participation.

Snowden, yet to decide on a starting point, notes Reach For The Moon's promising adaptation to jumping. After training and a break at Sandringham, the horse's preparation in Lambourn indicates readiness for a mid-February debut over hurdles.

Snowden emphasizes the importance of the Supreme Court's entry and expresses gratitude for the Royal Family's support. As decisions on Reach For The Moon's campaign remain open, his participation in the Cheltenham Festival generates considerable interest.
