Raqiya's next port of call is York

After winning the Listed race at Salisbury, Raqiya is scheduled to compete at York next month.

The Blue Point filly triumphed over Funny Story by a neck, marking her second victory in two races at Salisbury. She also secured a comfortable win at Haydock.

Despite finishing fifth at the Ayr Group Three race last season, trainer Owen Burrows is eager to give Raqiya another shot at that level by entering her in the William Hill Summer Stakes at York. Another one of Burrows' horses, Anmaat, may also make a comeback in the Sky Bet York Stakes.

The six-year-old won the Prix d’Ispahan at ParisLongchamp 13 months ago and is currently back in fast work. Burrows is targeting the Sky Bet race at York on King George's day for Anmaat's return but is also considering the Rose of Lancaster a few weeks later as an alternative option.

Overall, Burrows is hopeful about the upcoming races for both Raqiya and Anmaat.
