Pinot Gris is competing for the top spot with last year's champion Teed Up

Pinot Gris has become a favoured choice for the €110,000 Connacht Hotel (Q.R.) Handicap at Galway this evening, seeing its odds significantly drop from 10/1 in the morning to a current 5/1.

Trained by Gavin Cromwell, this gelding is now competing for the top spot with last year's champion, Teed Up, and Lot Of Joy.

Other horses making strides in the two-mile race include Enniskerry, who has shortened from 12/1 to 8/1, and Sionnach Eile, who has moved from 22/1 to 11/1. The race is set to start at 7:10 PM.

In the Easyfix Handicap Hurdle at 5:25, Harley Street has seen its odds shorten from 10/1 to 13/2, alongside The Banger Doyle, which has dipped from 9/1 to 13/2. Meanwhile, the previously favoured Malbay Madness has slipped in odds, rising to 4/1 from 3/1.

Truth Be Told is a strong odds-on favourite in the Eventus Irish EBF (C&G) Maiden at 6 PM, while Himalayan Heights has gained favour in the Gra Chocolates Handicap at 7:45, being backed from 11/2 to 7/2.
