O`Brien thinks about Royal Ascot for Celtic Chieftain

Celtic Chieftain may be considered for the Royal Ascot lineup following an impressive debut win in the Lynn Lodge Stud Irish EBF Maiden at Navan under Wayne Lordan.

The No Nay Never colt displayed natural speed and the ability to quicken when necessary as he held off the challenge of favourite Red Evolution by a neck. Stable representative Chris Armstrong was pleased with the performance and mentioned that the colt could potentially target races at Ascot such as Windsor Castle.

Ballydoyle enjoyed further success with Old Faithful, who secured a treble for the yard in the TRI Equestrian Handicap under Ryan Moore. The horse, who has been steadily improving, could be aimed at races like the Britannia at Ascot or the Golden Gates Stakes over a mile or a mile and a quarter.

Thunderbear, trained by Jack Davison, ended a dry spell with a victory in the Navan Racecourse Handicap. Despite a disappointing season so far, the sprinter showcased his talent and Davison is hopeful that this win will set the stage for future success. Though unlikely to target a handicap at Ascot due to a heavyweight, Thunderbear will be carefully managed to maximise his potential in the remainder of the season.
