Noble Birth Eyes Cheltenham Following Impressive Pertemps Victory

Noble Birth has made a triumphant return to the winner's circle with a commanding victory in the Pertemps Network Group Handicap Hurdle at Naas.

The Nathaniel-bred racehorse, expertly guided between the last two hurdles by jockey Dan King, surged ahead with determination in the final stretch of the race.

Trained by Eric McNamara, the talented gelding clinched victory by a notable three-and-a-half lengths, outpacing the 3/1 favourite Cleatus Poolaw.

Following this impressive display, Noble Birth's odds for the upcoming race at Cheltenham have been revised by bookmakers Paddy Power and Betfair, now standing at 14/1, a notable reduction from 20/1.

Conor McNamara, speaking on behalf of his father Eric, expressed his satisfaction with the horse's performance:

"Our previous outing in Musselburgh didn't go as planned, but it's gratifying to see Noble Birth back on top form today. He showed great potential during his run at Cheltenham last November, albeit being a bit too eager. The decision to forego the cheek-pieces this time paid off, allowing him to race more composed. Dan's handling was exceptional."

Despite facing a slight disadvantage in today's handicap, Conor remains optimistic about Noble Birth's future prospects:

"Should he secure a spot in the Pertemps Final, we'll be there. Otherwise, we're eyeing the upcoming event in Mallow to potentially qualify for the Full Circle Series Final at Punchestown. Looking ahead, we are considering transitioning him to fences for the summer season."

Noble Birth's recent resurgence marks a promising chapter in his career, with his connections eagerly anticipating further success on the horizon.
