Nelda won her first victory under trainer Paddy Twomey

Nelda, who had previously finished as runner-up twice in five starts for trainer Jessica Harrington, secured her first victory under trainer Paddy Twomey in the Executive Helicopters Maiden at Killarney. 

With an impressive official rating of 86, the daughter of Dark Angel was heavily favoured at odds of 4/9f. Jockey Billy Lee guided Nelda to an early lead, and she maintained her position throughout the race, ultimately winning by a comfortable margin of seven-and-a-half lengths. 

Trainer Paddy Twomey expressed his satisfaction with the win, noting that Nelda is well-bred and comes from a family of successful Group 1 winners. He plans to assess her condition and create a strategy for her future races.
