Middleham Park targeting Royal Ascot

Connections are confident that the talented colt Shouldvebeenaring is destined for success in Pattern races, to secure victory at Royal Ascot in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes.

The four-year-old has been on the cusp of Group-class wins since stepping up from the listed company following a triumph in the King Charles II Stakes at Newmarket in May 2023.

Despite close calls in races like the Sandy Lane Stakes and the Prix de la Foret, Shouldvebeenaring's connections remain optimistic about his prospects at the upcoming Royal meeting. The horse's main targets for the season include the Prix Maurice de Gheest in Deauville and the Sprint Cup at Haydock, where he aims to settle some scores with past rivals.

Brave Emperor, trained by Archie Watson, will make his return to British turf after a stint of international successes that have earned him a spot in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot. Malc, trained by Richard Fahey, is set to renew his rivalry with Elite Status in the Commonwealth Cup, while two-year-old Glorious Kitty will aim to build on a promising fourth-place finish in her debut race at York. The team at Middleham Park Racing is excited about the future prospects for these talented horses, with high hopes for success in prestigious Group One events.
