Lord Massusus shall be shortened in distance due to failure at 10 furlongs
Lord Massusus bounced back from disappointing performances at 10 furlongs by dropping back to a mile and triumphing in the Colm McLoughlin Celebration Stakes at the Curragh.
Trained by Joseph Murphy, the Group Three winner showed his class by dominating the race under jockey Gary Carroll. Despite being the underdog at odds of 10-1, Lord Massusus powered past his competitors in the final stages to claim victory in the Listed race.
Murphy expressed his satisfaction with the horse's performance, stating that they were on a mission to recover from their previous setbacks. Looking ahead, Murphy believes Lord Massusus has a bright future and hinted at potential travels for the talented four-year-old.
