Laurel's possible next port of call is Prix Rothschild

Due to a minor setback, Laurel will likely skip the Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket and may be rerouted to the Prix Rothschild later in the month. After a successful start to her career, the Juddmonte-owned filly disappointed at the Lockinge Stakes last year. However, she made a strong comeback with a second-place finish at Royal Ascot after a year-long break. Unfortunately, a foot abscess has forced her to miss training days, delaying her return to Group One level races. 

Similarly, another Juddmonte-owned filly, Babouche, will also miss the upcoming Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes due to a slight hiccup in her preparation. Despite a stunning debut at Cork last month, her fitness levels are not strong enough after a break, leading her connections to aim her at the Anglesey Stakes. Babouche is highly regarded and expected to be an exciting prospect in the future, but patience is needed as she continues to develop.
