Kinross is going for triumph to Royal Ascot

Kinross, the seasoned stable star for Ralph Beckett, is gearing up for his return to Royal Ascot in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes next Saturday. The seven-year-old son of Kingman has been a consistent performer, winning at least two group events per year for the past three seasons under the guidance of his trainer and owner Marc Chan.

In the 2023 racing season, Kinross impressed with wins at Goodwood and York before narrowly missing out on victory in the Prix de la Foret and British Champions Sprint Stakes. Now, he is being prepared for his third attempt at the prestigious Group One race at Royal Ascot. With Kinross currently one of the favourites for the six-furlong contest, his connections are eager to see him back on track for what looks to be a competitive renewal.

Owner's racing manager Jamie McCalmont mentioned that everything is on track for Kinross's campaign and that they are taking one race at a time with the seven-year-old. McCalmont expressed confidence in Kinross's abilities and mentioned that the horse does not require much training.

In addition to Kinross, Chan's other runner Bold Discovery, trained by Jessica Harrington, is set to compete in the Wolferton Stakes at Ascot. Bold Discovery, coming off a victory in the Amethyst Stakes over a mile, will step up to 10 furlongs for the race. McCalmont highlighted that as long as the ground conditions are suitable, Bold Discovery will run in the Wolferton Stakes on the opening day of the meeting. The team is optimistic about Bold Discovery's chances in the upcoming race.
