Inisherin is the favourite for the Group Once Race

Kevin Ryan is focused solely on his horse, Inisherin, rather than on the competition ahead of the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot on Friday. Inisherin, a Shamardal colt, impressed with a win at the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock and is now the favourite for the Group One race after Vandeek's withdrawal.

Ryan is optimistic about Inisherin's chances, stating that the horse's preparation has gone well and that he is in great form. Despite some initial doubts about the soft ground at Haydock, Inisherin proved himself over six furlongs, prompting Ryan to supplement him for the Commonwealth Cup.

Unfortunately, Elite Status, the other leading contender for owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid, is unlikely to run due to a joint injury. Clive Cox is feeling positive about Jasour's chances, especially with the arrival of summer ground at Royal Ascot.

Starlust is stepping up in class and distance after an impressive win at York, while Givemethebeatboys, who changed hands for £1.1 million last year, has shown promise in his three-year-old campaign. French import Evade and Military, trained by Aidan O'Brien, are also set to compete in the prestigious race.
