Harry Fry Sets His Sights on Newbury's Bounty

Harry Fry has his sights firmly set on two of Newbury's most prestigious prizes this weekend as he prepares Boothill and Altobelli for an exhilarating battle. Boothill, a talented two-mile chaser, is gearing up for a thrilling encounter in the Betfair Exchange Game Spirit Chase, where he will face formidable opponents including Edwardstone, Editeur Du Gite, and the dual winner Funambule Sivola. With two victories under his belt at Ascot earlier this season, Boothill's campaign was disrupted by the heavy ground, forcing him to miss the Tingle Creek. Unfortunately, his last outing at Kempton in the Desert Orchid Chase ended in a fall. However, Fry remains optimistic about his chances, stating, "We eagerly anticipate Boothill's eagerly awaited participation in the Betfair Game Spirit Chase at Newbury this Saturday. Despite his fall during Christmas, he emerged unscathed, and we believe he will put that incident behind him and deliver a stellar performance".

Altobelli, a promising second-season hurdler, has showcased his potential with impressive placements in two highly competitive handicaps at Ascot. He finished as the runner-up to Dan Skelton's Knickerbocker Glory and secured a commendable third-place finish in the Betfair Exchange Trophy behind Luccia. This weekend Altobelli seeks to capitalise on the sponsor's generosity by competing in the Betfair Hurdle. Fry expressed his confidence in Altobelli's capabilities, stating, "Altobelli is all set to tackle the Betfair Hurdle after demonstrating his prowess in two fiercely contested handicap hurdles at Ascot this season. The invaluable experience gained from those races will undoubtedly serve him well, and with the anticipated slightly slower ground conditions, he will play to his strengths. We expect him to put up a highly competitive performance on Saturday, all going well".
