Grand National Meeting Fnnouncements

Gerri Colombe, the runner-up in the Gold Cup, will face Shishkin, the reigning champion, in the highly anticipated Aintree Bowl on Thursday.

Under the guidance of Gordon Elliott, Gerri Colombe displayed great determination in the prestigious race at Cheltenham, finishing second only to the current champion, Galopin Des Champs.

Gerri Colombe is under the ownership of Brian Acheson's Robcour operation, and the Mouse Morris-trained Gentlemansgame will also be seen in the same colours.

Shishkin, who emerged victorious in the race a year ago under Nicky Henderson's guidance, aims to help the trainer bounce back from a disappointing Cheltenham Festival. Henderson had to withdraw several of his planned runners due to the performance of his stable.

Corbetts Cross, who put on a remarkable display at the National Hunt Chase, is set to make its debut as an open company. Joining them in the race are Bravemansgame, Ahoy Senor, and Thunder Rock, among others, in a field of seven competitors.

Luccia, who finished third in the Champion Hurdle, will be taking on a new challenge by competing in the William Hill Aintree Hurdle over a longer distance.

Grey Dawning and Ginny's Destiny are set to face off once more in the upcoming Manifesto Novices' Chase.

The duo delivered an impressive performance in the Turners at Cheltenham, as Grey Dawning from Dan Skelton's stable emerged victorious by two lengths.

It's about time that Il Etait Temps, who finished third in the Arkle, is now taking on a longer distance under the guidance of Willie Mullins. Joining the lineup are Blow Your Wad and Colonel Harry, rounding out the group of five.
