Gosdens` next stop is Ascot

Crimson Advocate, winner of the Queen Mary Stakes in 2023, is set to join John and Thady Gosden as she aims for a second consecutive victory at Royal Ascot later this month. The filly, owned by Wathnan Racing, will contest the King Charles III Stakes on the opening day of the Royal meeting.

After her impressive win at Ascot last year, Crimson Advocate was defeated by Big Evs at the Breeders' Cup. Now, she will attempt to reverse that result and follow in the footsteps of Lady Aurelia by claiming another Royal Ascot victory.

With her final preparations completed in the US, Crimson Advocate will soon travel to her new home in Newmarket before flying to England on June 11. Despite being a 16-1 shot in the betting markets, owners Wathnan Racing are hopeful that the filly can make an impact on the European sprinting scene this summer, with races such as the Nunthorpe also on the horizon.

US representative Case Clay praised trainer George Weaver for his work with Crimson Advocate and expressed excitement about the filly's upcoming campaign in Europe. He emphasised the competitive nature of British sprint races and the opportunities they present for Crimson Advocate to shine on the international stage.
