Farhh To Shy, a six-year-old with an impressive track record, had a successful campaign last year, winning twice and putting in a commendable performance in the Kensington Palace Fillies' Handicap at Royal Ascot.
In her last race of the season, she finished third in the Listed October Stakes at Ascot, narrowly missing out on victory by just half a length. This result earned her valuable black-type recognition for owner-breeder Francis Butler.
This season, the bay mare has her sights set on securing a win at the same level. However, before that, she will be targeting the long-awaited Lincoln Handicap on the opening day of the Flat season.
Farhh To Shy has previously shown her ability over seven furlongs at Doncaster, where she triumphed in a handicap race as a four-year-old. It is expected that she will excel over the straight mile at Doncaster, as her only setback last season occurred when she had to navigate a bend at York.
“We’ve been planning this for a while, we thought we’d keep her fresh and not run her on the all-weather over the winter,” said Margarson. “She is in good nick, she just needs good draw and a bit of luck.”
