Friendly Soul is among the seven fillies entered in the Musidora Stakes

Friendly Soul is one of the seven elite fillies entered in Wednesday's Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York.

The three-year-old, trained by John and Thady Gosden, has won both of his career starts and made a reappearance at the Newmarket Guineas meeting when she defeated the highly regarded Kalpana in the Pretty Polly.

On the Knavesmire, Kieran Shoemark's horse is probably going to be a short-priced favourite, but it will have some helpful competition.

So far this season, Ralph Beckett has had a great time in the Oaks trials. He is running two horses, Classical Song (Rossa Ryan) and La Pasionaria (Hector Crouch).

Kirsten Rausing, the owner of Arc winnings, also has two runners: Luke Morris's Sinology (David Simcock) and Joe Fanning's Francophone, trained by Charlie Johnston. The field is completed by Mayfair (Aidan O'Brien/Ryan Moore) and Secret Satire (Andrew Balding/Oisin Murphy).

In the meanwhile, 14 horses entered the 1895 Duke of York Clipper Stakes, including Michael Dods' Azure Blue, Karl Burke's Swingalong, Jane Chapple-Hyam's Mill Stream, and William Haggas' Montassib.
