France or the Breeders’ Cup are options for Simmering
Ollie Sangster’s promising juvenile filly, Simmering, is weighing options for her next appearances, with a return to France and a trip to the Breeders’ Cup among the possibilities.
After a strong debut at York and a solid third-place finish behind Fairy Godmother in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, the daughter of Too Darn Hot has since achieved a notable double, winning both Ascot’s Princess Margaret Stakes and the Prix du Calvados at Deauville.
Her recent win demonstrated her ability to handle both seven furlongs and soft ground, making the Prix Marcel Boussac at ParisLongchamp on Arc weekend a compelling target. Additionally, a potential spot in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf is being considered.
Alison Begley, racing manager for owners Al Shaqab Racing, shared, "I spoke with Ollie on Friday morning, and he mentioned that Simmering has come out of the Deauville race in great shape and is very pleased with her condition. We’ll be discussing her next steps soon."
