Follow Me shall visit the Britannia Handicap
Ross O'Sullivan has decided to aim his French import Follow Me towards the Britannia Handicap at Royal Ascot rather than the Jersey Stakes. Follow Me, a three-year-old, has already shown promise by winning a Curragh maiden on soft ground over six furlongs and a seven-furlong handicap on good going a month later. With a handicap mark of 100, O'Sullivan believes Follow Me will excel in the Britannia Handicap against the competition, rather than taking on the Classic crop in the Jersey Stakes.
"Follow Me will most likely be targeted for the Britannia. He is also entered for the Jersey, but the Britannia seems to be the better option," O'Sullivan said. "After a workout on Friday, jockey Shane Foley was pleased with him. Follow Me handled good ground well at the Curragh and is expected to do the same at Ascot."
