Faylaq might return to Doncaster

A return to Doncaster later this year is a potential target for Faylaq, with the November Handicap now under consideration.

After a period of struggling, the son of Dubawi, out of Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Danedream, has regained his form under Jim Goldie’s training. He won at Ayr, finished second in the Lanark Silber Bell at Hamilton, and recently triumphed in a tight finish to the Mallard Handicap at Doncaster, with Amie Waugh delivering an excellent ride.

"He’s back on track now, and we hope he stays there," Goldie said. "He doesn’t always need to be ridden that way, right on the line. Paul Mulrennan rode him at Ayr and led almost the entire way."

Goldie added, "We’ve got him in a good place, and he clearly enjoys Doncaster. Next, we’ll likely head to Hamilton, where his owner has a chance of being the leading owner this season. After that, the November Handicap might be on the agenda, but we’re taking it one step at a time."
