Teal is optimistic about Dancing Gemini's capabilities

Ten years ago, the Teal-trained Steele Tango finished more than 14 lengths behind the impressive Derby winner Sea The Stars. Now, the yard's current three-year-old star Dancing Gemini is set to compete as the second-favourite after White Birch's withdrawal from the upcoming feature race.

Dancing Gemini, a Listed winner at two, has shown significant improvement this season. He finished second by a half-length in the French 2000 Guineas before coming in sixth in the Betfred Derby on June 1.

Trainer Teal is realistic about the challenge his Camelot colt faces against Aidan O'Brien's Epsom winner, but is proud to have a horse in such a prestigious race. Teal expressed excitement for the opportunity and praised the dedication of his team.

Despite City Of Troy's dominance in the Derby, Teal remains hopeful that Dancing Gemini can perform well in the upcoming race. He believes the shorter distance of a mile and a quarter will suit the colt better.

With Kieran Shoemark taking over the ride from Oisin Murphy, Teal is confident in the jockey's abilities and downplays any concerns about the change. He believes Shoemark's recent performances show that he is capable of guiding Dancing Gemini to a strong showing in the upcoming race.

Overall, Teal is optimistic about Dancing Gemini's prospects and excited to see how the colt will perform in this prestigious event.
