Dysart seeks solace at Aintree

Fergal O'Brien's Dysart Enos is set to shine at Aintree despite facing a setback that dashed her hopes for the Cheltenham Festival.

The six-year-old mare boasts an impeccable record under rules and concluded last season with an impressive Grade Two victory in the fiercely competitive Nickel Coin bumper at Aintree, defeating Golden Ace trained by Jeremy Scott.

Her performance over hurdles has been equally outstanding, winning every race she has entered in three starts. This makes her a genuine contender for the Ryanair Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Festival.

Unfortunately, an overreach injury prevented her from participating in the event, adding to the misfortune experienced by the O'Brien stable, who also lost Highland Hunter and were disappointed by the underwhelming performance of the well-fancied Crambo in the Stayers' Hurdle.

However, the setback for Dysart Enos was minor, and she is now on course to make her return at Grade One level in the Top Novices' Hurdle at Aintree next month.
