Dysart Dazzler`s triumph in Kilbeggan's finale

In Kilbeggan's finale, the 2/7 favourite Dysart Dazzler was another big winner for Willie Mullins, although the Flemensfirth son had a difficult time landing the odds.

As they approached the last quarter-mile, the Chesnut trailed behind in third place. It quickly advanced to confront Serious Chat. Before Eleanor Manning's homebred pulled away in the last furlong to win by two and a half lengths, the two engaged in a bumping duel inside the turning final furlong. 

Rider Patrick remarked: “He’s very green, a big baby and not like his brother (Dysart Dynamo). He was behind the bridle all the way and I was always going to win but he was just very lazy and didn’t switch on into race mode. I think he’ll improve a lot mentally rather than fitness-wise and I’d imagine three miles might be more his thing.”
