Hollie Doyle is confident that Bradsell will be a strong contender in the Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes at York on Friday.
Archie Watson’s dual Royal Ascot winner, who finished third in last year’s Nunthorpe behind Live In The Dream and Highfield Princess, returns to York with hopes of improving on that performance. The son of Tasleet made an impressive comeback from a 329-day layoff with a victory in Deauville’s Prix du Cercle earlier this month.
Doyle is optimistic about Bradsell’s chances, noting, “He showed great form in Deauville, and he’s been in excellent shape since then. He’s a horse full of surprises and can be very competitive.”
She also highlighted the unpredictability of sprint races, saying, “Sprint form can vary, and it often depends on which horse is in the best condition on the day.”
Regarding the York Ebor Festival, Doyle expressed her enthusiasm: “York is a fantastic track with a great atmosphere. I always look forward to it, and I hope to have a successful week there, despite needing a bit more luck.”
