Doyle edges closer to her 1,000th career victory

Hollie Doyle aims to build on Bradsell's impressive Nunthorpe win with a strong performance in the Flying Five at the Curragh, as she edges closer to her 1,000th career victory.

Doyle reached her 100th win of the year at Ripon, guiding Archie Watson’s Zayer (4-5 favourite) to a track-record-setting triumph in the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes.

With this victory, Doyle is now just three wins away from 1,000 career wins, a milestone she set as a goal for 2024. Almost 700 of those wins have come in the past five years.

"That was my target at the start of the year—to reach 1,000 international career wins," Doyle said. "I’m not far off now, and I’m excited to achieve it."

Following Bradsell’s standout performance in the Nunthorpe, Doyle is hopeful he will replicate his success in the Flying Five on September 15.

"He’s in good shape since York," she said. "We’ll see how things go, but all systems are go for the Flying Five. He’s showing improved speed with age, which is often the case with sprinters."

With Bradsell’s next likely race in Ireland, Doyle is optimistic about continuing her successful run.
