Danielle has 14 entries for the William Hill Oaks Trial Fillies' Stakes on Saturday at Lingfield, where she could get a chance to live out her Betfred Oaks dreams.
Having won this Listed event four times previously, including with Anapurna, who would go on to win at Epsom in 2019, John Gosden is no stranger to success.
And now he could try and win it with son Thady for the first time with Cracksman's intelligent daughter Danielle, who made an impression when she easily won at Wetherby last month.
Owned by Anthony Oppenheimer, who is still pining for his first triumph in the Epsom Fillies' Classic, she is as short as 10-1 at some sites to win the Oaks, and Thady Gosden believes the well-related three-year-old will eventually move up in grade.
He said: “She won in very good style at Wetherby and has come out of that race really well. She’s obviously a well-related filly being from the same family as Courage Mon Ami and Lions Pride and stepping into stakes company at some stage is the natural progression.”
Ralph Beckett, the trainer of La Pasionaria, Seaward, You Got To Me, and the impressive Nottingham maiden winner Treasure, who sports the royal silks of the King and Queen, is another handler with an abundance of entries. Beckett is based in Kimpton Down.
Despite that both Rubies Are Red and Port Fairy are also scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Aidan O'Brien has already entered both. However, the Ballydoyle trainer has a strong case in the colts' division, where Illinois, an Epsom entrant, is set to compete in the William Hill Lingfield Derby Trial Stakes.
Ten entries are in total, with Hidden Law representing the winning connections from the previous year. This week at Chester, both Charlie Appleby's impressive Newbury winner and Defiance, Roger Varian's runner-up in the Blue Riband Trial, are scheduled to race.
Karl Burke and Jane Chapple-Hyam each have two entries among the others. The Spigot Lodge handler has two possibles, Arabic Legend and Imperial Sovereign, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid, while Chapple-Hyam includes At Vimeiro and Salamanca.
