Cox is going with a Ghostwriter to Coral-Eclipse

Clive Cox eagerly anticipates the Coral-Eclipse early next month and hopes Ghostwriter can step up to the challenge, provided conditions at Sandown are not too challenging. With the arrival of summer ground and improved going descriptions, the Beechdown Stables trainer is looking forward to seeing Ghostwriter prove himself in more suitable conditions after a strong performance on heavy ground at Chantilly.

Despite finishing fourth in the French Derby and the 2000 Guineas, Ghostwriter has shown his quality and Cox is hopeful that he can make his mark against tough competition at Sandown on July 6. Cox is particularly excited about the prospect of Ghostwriter competing on a sound surface, where he believes the son of Invincible Spirit can showcase his abilities.

The potential competition at the Coral-Eclipse includes City Of Troy and White Birch, two high-class horses that Ghostwriter may face. Cox remains optimistic about Ghostwriter's chances in the race, given his recent form and solid performances in previous races.
