Connections are searching for another alternative for Quddwah

Quddwah, an unbeaten colt, will be looking for an alternative target after being unable to compete in next week's Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot. Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, the son of Kingman completed his hat-trick in the Paradise Stakes last month after almost a year on the sidelines. Unfortunately, Quddwah had to withdraw from the Queen Anne due to a bad blood test result and scope, and will now be aimed towards the Summer Mile at Ascot in July.

The Crisford team will still have a representative in the Queen Anne in the form of Poker Face, who will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing run in the Lockinge. Their biggest hope at the meeting is Vandeek, who suffered his first career defeat in the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock. Despite the setback, the team is confident that Vandeek will perform well in the Commonwealth Cup.

Additionally, Meydaan, winner of the Cocked Hat Stakes, is also part of the Crisfords' Royal Ascot squad. A decision is yet to be made on whether he will compete in the King Edward VII Stakes or the Queen's Vase, as the team evaluates their options.
