Noel Meade got off to a successful start in the new flat season with Money Dancer winning on debut at the Curragh on Monday. He is excited about the upcoming races for the promising Caught U Looking.
“She was a good filly last year winning a Group 3 and has done well over the winter. We are hoping to run her in the Guineas Trial at Leopardstown,” said Meade.
The filly, who is the daughter of the dual Derby winner Harzand, had a successful juvenile campaign, winning twice, including the Group 3 Weld Park Stakes at the Curragh. She has been performing well and satisfying her trainer at Castletown this spring.
Tu Va Stables, which was traditionally known for its strong presence in National Hunt racing, has shifted its focus towards flat racing in recent years. Reflecting on not having a runner at this year's Cheltenham Festival, Noel Meade mentioned this change in direction.
“We only had a couple entered and Affordale Fury was the one we were looking forward to and he just got a bang at the wrong time. We might have got him out for the end of the season but he’s a big horse and we decided to leave him off until next season.”
