Jack Jones plans to enter his unbeaten juvenile, Caburn, in the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Gimcrack Stakes at York. Purchased for 24,000 guineas, Caburn won his debut at Salisbury and then claimed a narrow victory in the Super Sprint at Newbury.
Jones said Caburn's performance at Salisbury and Newbury was impressive, though dropping to five furlongs wasn’t ideal. He’s confident that the return to six furlongs will suit Caburn better.
Jones noted that Caburn’s determination and performance were special, and while the step-up to Group Two level is significant, the colt seems to be in good form. Jones remains focused and plans to stick to his training system as he prepares for the Gimcrack Stakes.
