Burke’s triumph at Chantilly
Karl Burke was in attendance at Chantilly on Sunday when Arabie impressed with a victory in the Prix du Bois. The Dandy Man colt, who had previously finished second at Thirsk before winning at York, made a successful step- up to Group Three level. Under Jim Crowley's guidance, Arabie stayed near the front of the pack and eventually pulled away to win comfortably.
Crowley, who was suspended in the UK but permitted to ride due to the Group One event in France, praised Arabie's progression and potential for further improvement.
In another race on the French Oaks day card, Delius, trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, stayed undefeated with a strong performance in the Prix du Lys Longines. Rider Christophe Soumillon was pleased with the Frankel colt's showing and believes he has the potential to achieve Group One success in the future, possibly targeting the Grand Prix de Paris. Soumillon commended Delius' maturity and talent, predicting a bright future ahead for the promising horse.
