Burke intends to test Darnation's skills at Newcastle

Darnation, the German Guineas winner trained by Karl Burke, will test her skills on the all-weather track in the Jenningsbet In Delves Hoppings Fillies’ Stakes at Newcastle on Friday. The talented daughter of Too Darn Hot had impressive wins in prestigious Group races as a two-year-old and is looking to make her mark in Group Three company over 10 furlongs.

Burke expressed his confidence in Darnation's abilities on the all-weather surface, noting that she has been training well on it at home. The ultimate goal for the three-year-old filly is a return to Dusseldorf for the German Oaks, hence the decision to step up in trip for this race.

One of Darnation's key rivals in the race will be Sir Mark Prescott’s Tiffany, who has proven herself as a prolific winner and course and distance specialist. The four-year-old filly has been in top form, coming off wins in Listed races, and is well-fancied by many ahead of the race.

Other notable contenders in the field include Miss Cantik, an all-weather debutant trained by Amy Murphy, and George Boughey’s Chic Columbine, who narrowly missed out on victory in her last outing at Epsom. Charlie Appleby also has strong Sapphire Seas and Shining Jewel contenders, both hoping to bounce back to form in this race.

The race promises to be an exciting and closely fought contest with a competitive field of talented fillies lining up for the Jenningsbet In Delves Hoppings Fillies’ Stakes.
