Bruce Lynn is a Jockey From Hawick Who Has Won at Musselburgh and Carlisle

Lynn triumphed at the East Lothian track, winning the race with Not in Kansas at odds of 9/1. In another impressive performance, Lynn guided Elvis Mail to a first-place finish over three miles in Cumbria, with odds of 3/1. Both victories were under the guidance of Fife trainer Nick Alexander.

The first race had a prize of £3,697, while the second race had a much higher prize of £15,609.

The meetings in Musselburgh and Carlisle were scheduled to kick off and wrap up the exciting Go North series finals weekend, with a day of racing at Kelso in between. Unfortunately, the races in the Borders had to be cancelled because the track was waterlogged.

The region's sole additional results at Musselburgh included a second-place finish for Selkirk trainer Stuart Coltherd with Similar Story, expertly ridden by Sean Quinlan. Additionally, jockey Sam Coltherd achieved a commendable second and third place aboard Champ Royal and Beaumesnil, respectively, both horses trained by Susan Corbett from Northumberland.

In Carlisle, Lynn also secured a third position, once again riding Alexander's horse, Travail d'Orfevre. Meanwhile, Ewan Whillans, a trainer from Hawick, witnessed Hold the Note clinch, which was a respectable third place, with Danny McMenamin in the saddle.

Kelso's upcoming meeting is set for Monday, April 15, which is Buccleuch Cup day.

The gates will open at noon, and the first race of the day will start at 2 pm.
