Brian may be on course for a class upgrade in the Unibet Sirenia Stakes at Kempton on Saturday.
Sylvester Kirk's promising colt recently earned over £54,000 with a decisive four-and-a-half-length victory over Li Ban in the Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes at Newmarket. His earlier performance in the Pat Eddery Stakes at Ascot, where he finished six and three-quarter lengths behind the talented Al Qudra, was respectable, especially as the second and third-place finishers, New Century and Chancellor, have since won races.
This win marked Brian's second of the season, and Kirk is now considering a move to Group company. Options include a trip to France or a run in the Listed Rockingham Stakes at York.
Kirk commented, "He won nicely at Newmarket and remains rated 93 as he hasn’t been reassessed. We’re considering the Sirenia Stakes for Saturday and possibly France, or the Rockingham if we skip France."
