Bradsell triumphed in the Prix du Cercle at Deauville

Bradsell made a triumphant return in the Prix du Cercle at Deauville, showcasing his old enthusiasm with a commanding performance.

Archie Watson’s dual Royal Ascot winner had been sidelined for nearly a year, with his previous appearance a disappointing run in the Curragh’s Flying Five Stakes last September. Reunited with regular jockey Hollie Doyle, the son of Tasleet quickly found his winning stride, racing prominently and pulling clear in the final stages.

Though this victory came in Listed company, Bradsell is expected to compete against top sprinters soon, and Paddy Power has adjusted his odds to 7-1 from 14-1 for a potential repeat of his third-place finish in last year’s Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes.

Hollie Doyle expressed her excitement over Bradsell's return, praising his toughness and the efforts of Archie Watson and Mike Murphy. She noted that despite a slow start from the stalls, Bradsell showed impressive speed and will improve from this run.

Meanwhile, No Half Measures followed up her Newmarket success with a win in the Prix Moonlight Cloud. Richard Hughes commended her adaptability and ongoing improvement, noting plans for a Group Three run in Ireland and a possible Prix de l’Abbaye entry. Hughes is confident she can handle heavy ground and could perform well if given a good draw.
