Before the 2000 Guineas race at Newmarket, it is not clear that Rosallion will be entered in the trial

Richard Hannon believes that the state of the ground will play a crucial role in deciding whether Rosallion participates in a trial prior to the QIPCO 2000 Guineas. However, he acknowledges the possibility of giving his prized horse another opportunity to showcase its skills with a racecourse gallop before the highly anticipated opening Classic at Newmarket.

The Wiltshire trainer is considering different possibilities for the offspring of Blue Point, who is currently the popular 6/1 second choice to achieve victory in the prestigious Group One race on the Rowley Mile on Saturday, May 4.

Following a triumphant conclusion to the previous season, Rosallion recently had his first training session on a race track this year at Kempton Park. This came after his impressive win in the prestigious Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp.

Suppose the weather interferes with Rosallion's trial run. In that case, Hannon has suggested the possibility of sending the colt, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, back to Kempton for another go before his important Classic race.

Hannon mentioned: "He recently visited Kempton, and his performance was exceptional." I was delighted, just like Sean (Levey). I'm uncertain about putting him through a trial since I'm not particularly keen on testing him on soft terrain.

Despite Rosallion's limited experience running distances longer than seven furlongs in his four starts last year, Hannon remains optimistic that the increase in trips will be smooth sailing.
