Auguste Rodin expected to have a hectic start to the season

Auguste Rodin is expected to have a packed schedule during the first half of the season, commencing with participation in the Sheema Classic event in Dubai.

Aidan O'Brien's horse, who has won both the Derby and Breeders' Cup, has plans to participate in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh and then head to Royal Ascot. However, before that, O'Brien is contemplating the possibility of entering him in a dirt race, despite it being unconventional for a horse bred by Deep Impact. This decision stems from O'Brien's observation of the horse's impressive performance during morning training sessions leading up to the Breeders' Cup.

“Auguste Rodin has another bit of work to do before he goes on Saturday, but everything looks good at the moment. It’s his first run of the year but we’re very happy with him. The plan was he goes there, then he could go to the Curragh for the Tattersalls and then Ascot for the Prince of Wales’s. After that, we could have a look at a dirt race with him, we’ll see how that goes. He could go to Saratoga. The world has gone small now,” he said.
