Arizona Blaze had a Fantastic Start To His Racing Career, Securing a Victory At The Curragh

Trained by Adrian Murray and owned by Amo Racing, the colt showcased his potential by triumphing on his debut. The responsibility of riding Arizona Blaze fell to David Egan, the newly appointed jockey for Amo Racing after his stint in America.

Arizona Blaze is the offspring of Sergei Prokofiev and Liberisque, making him the first progeny of Sergei Prokofiev to hit the track. This win marked a remarkable beginning for the sire as well, as his son delivered an impressive performance, winning comfortably by a length and a quarter as the 5-4 favourite.

Murray stated: “David said he’s a very nice horse with loads of improvement. Hopefully, he can build on this and maybe go to Royal Ascot.

“He’ll go now to Cork for a Listed race in two weeks’ time over six furlongs,” O’Leary said. “He was in great form. We didn’t work him as such but gave him plenty on the heavy sand on the Curragh and got stamina into him as he has natural speed. He could stay a mile and is just an athlete.”
