Anticipated heavy rain looms ahead of upcoming meetings

Thurles Racecourse has experienced 7mm of rainfall recently, resulting in a yielding to soft track conditions, with some areas being even softer. Furthermore, the weather is expected to turn cooler, accompanied by widespread rain today and on Thursday, with an approximate amount of 20-30mm. Similarly, Naas Racecourse encountered 7mm of rain overnight, leading to a track condition of soft to heavy for the upcoming Saturday's meeting.

Notably, there is fresh ground prepared for the hurdle track. As per the forecast by Met Éireann, an estimated 50-55mm of rain is expected to occur between now and the race day. Shifting our focus to Navan, where Sunday's race will be held, the current track condition is recorded as soft. Additionally, the hurdle track at Navan also boasts fresh ground.

Although the rain is anticipated to clear later today, tomorrow's weather remains uncertain, with approximately 20 mm of rain expected before the racing event.
